We bought a home on 8 acres at lock up stage. Married to a carpenter, we were sure that our goals/dreams were going to come true. That was 7 1/2 years ago. I learned to install insulation, paint, drywall, etc. We got enough things done to be able to move in. Since then my husband has rebuilt and moved a shelf he made for our baseboards, which I purchased a new air compressor for, though they still are not on. My husband loves to hunt so he got a extra large elk 2 years ago. He decided that we needed to change our attached garage into a rustic style family room (to hang the elk in) and now the project has stopped again once the one wall for the elk was done, then he started to build a detached garage to replace the other one and it has 4 walls, roof and only 5 months ago got a door. The building inspector came by to see if it was done to close the file and told me that there has been no change in so long for us to just call him when it is done.
Don't get me wrong my husband has all good intentions, but with his position at his job he usually works 10-14 or more hours a day and 6 days a week. I still dream of the day when I or company can go sit out on our decks without falling down with two deck platforms high up. One platform is on the main floor of a walkout and the other is off the master bedroom which is on the second floor (very, very high up).
